Oh Failure Girl, Failure Girl,

Rusty screws and wheels and bolts

creaking creaking screeching!

as she

drags herself across the floor–

Invisible, unstoppable,

Broken.

Yes, failure Girl, Failure girl,

Imperfect in all her beauty;

Oily hair and beady eyes

tired, Tired, two eyes seeing four,

sleep is an illusion!

And failure is the cement that holds her down and gives her identity

and lets her live —

She is the Failur eGirl,

The broken doll of a girl

Squeaking, screeching,

groaning, grinding,

Rasping, screaming!

failUre girl, oH failure girl

I hold yOu in mY arms

tEArs of tar, duSTy rust

overTAKing you, as you fAde

With the weiGHT of all your efforts

Fruitless

Heavy

On your back

Crushing YOU.

Oh failure girl, Failure Girl, FAILURE GIRL —

Won’t you TURN back?

To shiny, wavy, ebony hair

and soft, white skin-

now turned olive, ashen, r o u g h

soul sold to the devil–

but, failURE girl, did you have a soul to begin with?

Are dolls in need of souls?

Were you a doll or a human? Were your parents a doll or a human?

slumped over papers, sleeping peacefully

jAgged smilE etched forever on her face

My failure girl.
